Hey guys, need some help!

Last weekend I was riding and it started running rough, it would sputter under full power. Got it home and found dirt in the float bowl so I cleaned out everything. Got it running again but now it doesnt seem to idle right on hills. IF I get on a steep incline it wants to putter out and sometimes does, or idles slow, but it has plent of power if I give it alot of throttle. On flat land if idles perfect but if I just barley depress the throttle I can make it start missing, but then if I give it more gas it smooths out and runs ok. The idle adjust screw doesnt seem to do much of anything now as well. Any ideas? Imporper float adjustment perhaps? Also I cut the vacuum needle spring shorter last week, think maybe I cut too much off? Any insight would be appreciated!!

 

how much did you cut off? Sounds to me like a float problem.
