I found a few shavings in my Eiger's oil after the break-in oil-change. I'm really not worried about it. It was aluminum, so I'm sure it was just from the manufacturing process or different internal parts seating themselves. If I were to find steel, that would be a different story.

Default eiger oil metal

Metal filings in the oil on the first and second oil and filter change are normal , my 2006 Arctic Cat 400 FIS Auto 4x4 with the Suzuki powered 376cc engine had the Aluminum metal filing's in the drain pan , and a few on the second oil change ; by the third serving there where no metal filing in the drain pan !

So this is normal on a new engine and nothing to worry about , unless get keep apearing on by the 4 th and 5 th oil change ; then you can start worrying !.........
