Time to replace the bald Dunlop stock tires on my Eiger. They didn't last long at all. I ride in 2-wheel mode mostly & that eats up my rear rubber. I like the Kenda Bear Claws, & ITP mudlites. Wondering if I should stick with 25" or go to 26". If you have went up a size on your Eiger, please let me know if there are any negative effects. Like power loss, rubbing, etc..
Stock size are front = 25x8x12 & rear = 25x10x12
Thinking about going with the 26x9x12 front & 26x12x12, but wondered if the wider tires would hinder turning?
Any input appreciated,
HS

I would like to know if there are any differences as well, just curious. I, myself, just bought ITP SS106 wheels and 25" tires for my '02 Eiger. I am very happy with them.

you shouldnt have any problems with 26s i have xtrs which are radial and alot heavier than any bias tire and did not lose alot of power

I would not go with the 12 inch wide tires in the rear because they may not fit on the rims correctly.
Oh, and I completely suggest the ITP Mudlite XTRs.

I've had Kenda Bear Claws for 3plus years 27x10x12 all 4 corners and I can't wear them out. I don't drive on roadways with them
