Winch
I just got a gorilla waterproof 3000lbs winch. And i have heard not to winch in a straight line because the cable will get bunched up in the same spot to much and break your winch. So how should you winch then? Also anyone know of any equipment that can be used. When you cannot find a tree or anything else to use to winch yourself out with?

You should try to keep the winch cable tight as you spool it in, sometimes it's necessary to unwind it after you get unstuck and rewind it in properly. If you do have to winch using a tree use a tree saver strap. Its basically a nylon strap with a loop in each end you wrap around the tree. This prevents killing the tree by not cutting into the bark. Good for the image of ATVer's, and saves the tree for the next guy. Plus the strap can be used to pull a stranded ATV. A ****** block is also good, it takes a 3000 lb. winch and turns it into a 6000 lb. winch. I've seen an earth anchor from Cabelas: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas...inch+anchor&noImage=0
I can't say much about it, I've never tried it. I'm going to be making one from some scrap steel. After looking at it I have a pretty good design idea.
Oh, and you can use a group of small saplings, I've used some pretty small trees to winch myself out before. When winching you just have to be creative sometimes, and put a bag or coat over it, it's supposed to absorb the shock from a snapped cable.
