Default 04 Z400

Hey Everyone,

Really quick, I do not know the full story so I'll tell what I know and Try and get the problem fixed on that.

I bought a Garrett GT25R Turbo to turbo my 05 Civic Si, never happened so it was sitting around. A new kid started at my work and seen it sitting on my work bench and asked if I wanted to sell it or trade. He offered a 04 Z400 for the turbo, the Z400 does not run and the turbo I only paid $100 for. I'm thinking "why not its a $100 Z400 right?"

Well he said he was riding after it just thunder stormed and it was very muddy. The ATV stopped running and no matter what he did he couldn't get it to start. He took the carb off cleaned the carb out and found some mud and dirt in the bowl (so I am told) and in the process lost some pieces to the carb and it has been sitting for 6 months.

What I want to know is what all could be wrong for this thing to not want to start and should I do the trade? The Z400 Has a DG front bumper, Renthal Bars, Pro Armor Nerf Bars, and Hole Shot tires.

He doesn't know if it runs after cleaning out the carb because he lost pieces and couldn't put it back together.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I want all possible problems so I know what I could be getting into. Motor work i.e. rods, bent valves, crank bearings, CDI. Anything could be wrong right?

Would you all trust or recommend this Carb?
