Suzuki Ozark winch
once again, looking for personal feedback from someone who has installed a name brand (warn, etc.) winch on their own Ozark.
What did it cost, and was a 1500 (or equivalent) all you could fit? was the mounting plate a problem and what brands did you use?
Thanks in advance

I installed a 2000 lb Venom winch on our red Ozark. See pics. But I guess that isn't a "name brand" The reason I got a cheap off-brand winch is because my research suggested that the name-brand winch fail just as often as the cheap ones.
Got it off ebay for about $82 shipped a year ago. The funny thing was that the only mount I could find that fit was the Suzuki brand one that cost me $64 shipped. So the mount cost almost as much as the winch. That mount is compatible with most brands of winches.
We've only had to use the winch once so far and it performed like a champ when pulling the Ozark out of a hole in the sand dunes last month.

Thanks in advance</end quote></div>I put a 1700 lbs warn winch the fist time. Second time I put a 2500lbs warn winch. 2500 works awsome! Built my own winch plate and snow plow to.
