Where would I find the VIN number on my 80's era Suzuki LT-4WD?

The owner's manual will show multiple vin number locations.

That would work if I had an owners manual - I'm about the fourth owner of this ATV - and from the looks of it - the first one to do any maintenance on it.

If memory serves: Look on the frame near the rear, left side shock mount. Susuki used to weld a flat plate on that had the VIN number on it.

Ok, I now know that my vin nuymber is J3AAJ45AXH2118805 - can someone decode that for me so I know more of the specifics of the rust pile I bought?

Where did you find your number at.. I can find mine anywhere's .. maybe its under some rust but where.

Left rear frame - the very last verticle member - there's a tag welded to the frame rail.

let me guess.. on the right side.. That rail of mine is extremely rusty.. No wonder i couldnt find it.

I found mine on the drivers side on the back left rear. I have the tire removed right now - which made it much more easy to spot as the "tag" is front to back.
