I am considering buying a 1998 Suzuki LT500F 4x4. It has newer ITP tires, and a plow and winch that need some work. It is said to run good, with no smoke or noises. The owner said that it has a torn CV boot and that the joint also clicks. It also has a oil leak around the stator cover on the bottom, owner said it`s not cracked, it just looks like the gasket. I have recently rebuilt a Honda Recon and yamaha Big Bear from basket cases to nice quads and I am a professional fleet tech for a living. My question is were the 98 500F`s good machines, or should I keep looking. and also, are there any common problems with these that I should check for when inspecting it. asking price is 2k
