Default Rubber Plug on side of cylinder??? What is it?

Randy,
Thanks for taking the time to show me exactly what I needed to do. Think I am going to attemp this today. I think some plastic will have to come off to get to that plug, but we will see. Man, you really have been a huge help, oh, and love your rasta hair and your spliff in your avatar, nice. I will ask more questions I am sure once I get into it. Thanks so much!!

No trouble really... Let me know if you run into something questionable. There also may be videos on youtube of people setting valve lash on various engines. Might be worth looking into. Btw, the specs are .001-.003 on the intake and .003-.005 inch on the exhaust. But I'd definitely set the intake a little loose because it will tighten right back up relatively fast. I don't see a problem with .010 or so. Megacycle told me they recommend that clearance on all their 230/250 cams. Webcams is about .006 or .007 I think.

Boy, I must be gettin old.... Or too young... something... because I had to look up spliff to see what it was, lol. Thanks for the compliment. You're the first one to say anything about my avatar in something like 6-9 months. I was starting to think I should change it.
