LT500 parts fit on a LT250R?

I have a 89 LT250R and was wondering if LT500 a-arms would fit on my 250. It would widden the front of the atv 3" that is pretty close to plus 2" a-arms and they would be a lot cheaper. I was also wondering if the axle would interchange too.
