Default need a little 50 history and info

I am looking to buy a used 50 for my daughter (age 7) we have room to roam around the house here but i need some info. im looking in the area from 99-05's, to keep my price under 800.00

i see 50's from the 80's to current and i see different models etc..
so i have a couple ?'s
(Keeping in mind 99-05's)
whats the difference between a lt 50, lta 50, z50 and quadsport 50?
are they all 2 strokes?
are they all electric start and pull start?
are they all 1 speed automatics?
are they all oil injected for the 2 stroke?
was it 2000 when they changed to the newer look?
what other changes were made?
Any opinions much appreciated.

Currently there is a 99 and a 2003 in my area for sale so just trying to gather some info on these.
thakns for any info in advance
Chris

i found they are all so far 1 speed automatics

i found out the 99 does not have electric start.
i found a 2003 without electric start
i found a 2004 without electric start
i found a 2006 with electric start

I found out 2007 2008 2009 z50's are 4 stroke

still looking for other answers.

If i buy one with pull start will my kid be able to start it?
or does an adult have to start it?

found out top speed is 15 with restrictors 25mph without.

Roughly:

* Very old (80's, early 90's?) units had no suspension. More like a go cart with a body.

* 2006+ units ("LT-Zxx") are four stroke. 2005- units are two stroke.

* Two stroke units do not have electric start or any electrical system (no lights, no battery, etc.).

* Four stroke units may have electric start, not sure.

* Two strokes are simple magneto ignition; altering them to improve performance is straightforward. Four strokes are CDI based, so altering them is much more difficult.

Hope this helps!
