Nah great info. I was looking into getting some bark busters.

What I like about the 09 is that it has normal size tires in the rear, unless its just the pictures I see. It does look sharp though. So does the 08. Enjoy the bike man.

Never heard of Bark Busters.... but I looked them up on google and they looked pretty good.

I think it's just the picture, cause everything looks bigger on the 09 lol. And once again thanks!

I have to ask: How old are you. It seems borderline insane to go from a off brand 90 to a 450r!

Haha... I'm a week away from being 15. A little young for a 450R, yes, but I'm not gonna go all crazy and go full throttle the whole time...untill I get used to it (probably next summer).

Congratz on a really nice first real quad though. When I say bark busters I mean hand guards in general, The protect your knuckles incase you hit a tree or something.

HAh thanks... but today goin for my last ride on my 90 I think that I will miss it... not the power or the size but just the fact that it was my first quad, I learned so much and had so much fun on it, I'll miss her so much. Hope she goes to a good home.

Hahah, I feel stupid now lol. There was actually a brand name for bark busters I think though!

Hey guys, sorry for the double post here, but I really want nerf bars and my dad still won't pay for them, and I found a set on eBay for an 06 LT-R 450 for something ridiculously cheap, $65 Buy-it-now only price, 9 in stock, 9 days left in the listing. Will these 06 ones fit an 08 LT-R? I can ask at the dealer on Wednesday, I was just wondering.

Also, does anyone know what it would be like to paint them black, to look like the Suzuki black ones? With just metal rust-proof spray paint after a prime and sand should they be fine?

Here's what I want them to look like:

Here's the listing:

The black is nice but I would get the silver. Where your ankles hit the frame when braking and shifting you will wear away the paint. Same goes for the nerf bars, any scrapes, or hit or anything will take the black away to bare metal and be far more noticeable than on silver.

I knew bark busters were a brand name but I dont really like there look, I like the ones you got, really sharp and have angles and lines that match the sport ATV look.

One thing, I started on a 70cc ETON Viper, got it for 20 dollars off a friend. It almost scared the hell out of me when I hit my first turn and realized how much more the larger ATV's got. Got completely sideways and almost highsided. Be very careful.

I used to ride Dirtbikes and man ATVs are completely different and to be honest sooo much funner.

EDIT: What about these. You get a brand name, one hell of a price and it has heel guards and no-slip pegs on it.

Hell I would even get the Alba black front bumper only $50.00 and the black grab bar for only $30. Cant beat those sale prices.
