I'm new to the ATV world. I don't have a huge budget (<$1,000), but I'd like to find a solid ATV that runs good and will enable me to play around. I'm a fairly big guy, about 220lbs, 5'6".
I found this Suzuki, and the owner tells me it's a dependable machine. From all my research, I can't really tell what the model is, etc...I'm scheduled to go see it and ride it on Saturday.
From what the owner has told me, they recently replaced the battery, it starts every time, and runs good. Other than these pics, that's all I know.
First, can ya'll identify this machine. Second, is it worth $650?

I can't tell ya what it is for sure but my guess is some year of a quad runner 160 since it looks small, but not youth small. Personally, $650 seems a little high to me. I got a running '86 LT230S for a broken yerf-dog atv and psp (~$500 value for both). So personally, I;d be patient and keep looking.

Its a 1985 or 1986 LT250EF with no rear suspension. It has a 4 valve head and two exhaust headers. Could be worth something as a collector's item, especially since its in good shape. Other than that, no rear shock means you'll need those big balloon tires to ride smooth. And you have no rear rack.

Actually that's a 230S I believe. It looks really clean but is it pink??? haha! From the pictures all I notice that's funny is that its missing a rear grab bar, and the guards for the sprockets and rear disc brake. Looks nice though, the frame looks new almost! How much does he want?

I'd say that's a good price you shot him. I got mine (which you can see in the topic titled "My 86 LT230S" in a trade for our non-running 2001 Yerf-Dog 90cc ATV ($300 maybe??) and my Sony PSP with all it's stuff ($200). And everything on it is in great shape minus the crank case oil leak which is repairable.
