Just wanted some opinions or advice on tire's and rim packages for my 86 250R. I have 8in. rims on right now and I would like to get some 10in. rims if I could. I have been looking in the ATV MAGS. and they have some packages that range from $150 to $190 for 22x11x10. Will that size of rim and tire affect anthing because when I was in the shop I wanted to price their packages (they were way over priced compared to the ones in the mags.)They had a hard time finding rims (steel) and kept feeding me this line cuz it was a 4 bolt that I would have to go for the original size, which I found hard to believe so I left. The only thing that I have deciced was that I might as well go with the Aluminum rims. Anyone help?

 

I'm really not sure why they would steer you away from the 10 inchers, which is specifically what Suzuki called for when they designed the quad!! I bought some Pure Sports Bandit XC rears, mounted on .190 Douglas aluminum rims for $204 from Rocky Mountain ATV. I must admit, its a bulletproof combination, so far. After nearly 20 hours on the machine since they were installed, they still have those rubber nipples sticking out the tread. And yes, they are 10 inch rims. I never heard of 8 inchers on a 250R come to think about it. With the customer support being at its best, I don't shop anywhere else but them. Just my $. 02.

 

someone on e-bay has rims for a quadracer. they seem to have a decent price so far. hope this helps
