I was riding my trails as usual to get to my homemade moto x track.I came up to my double. The jumps are about 9-10 feet apart from each other.I decided i was finally going to clear it.Since the takeoff jump is only about 4 feet high you really have to hit it.I hit it in 3rd pinned and cleared it by a foot.Next time around i came out extra wide around the corner and hit it in 3rd again except much faster.i got about 5 feet high and while I was in mid air my footpeg broke off.I mean it just fell off. Both the bolts holding it on were sheared off? When i landed i about wrecked but i got it back under control in time. The footpeg was attached when i hit the jump just fell off between them.

I have a QuadSport too and those little quirks make me nervous. Stupid crap like that happens all the time, i guess being the first sport quad has it's disadvantages.

the quadsport is the first sport quad?? thats cool, i have a quadsport too, its a good bike when its actually running. im rebuilding it for the second time since i had it which is about a year. i didnt break it in so it started to loose compression and smoke, i just got a new WB flatside carb for it, never even got to try it out yet, rings are on back order from dennis kirk, dennis kirk didnt even recieve my money order for my handlebars and seat cover yet, i sent it like 5 weeks ago. i was gonna put all kinds of parts on my quadsport but i decided to get a new 2001 400ex instead. the quadsport is a good bike, just too small for me and not enough power for what i do. im still gonna keep the quadsport until i find out what to do with it

have fun
Mike

Mike, sorry to burst your bubble but the quadsport wasn't the first sport quad. The first sport quad was the QuadRacer in 85. The quadracer is the two stroke version, basically with better susupension and a different(larger) Frame.

Didn't the QuadSport also come out in 85? If so, this would be the first sport quad. That's why it's called a quadsport and the quadracer would be the first racing quad.

hey as i read the post i remembered i was riding wheelies on my quadsport once and i heard a loud pop. i looked down and i snapped the long bolt that goes through the case. lost all the spacers so i had to buy everything again. my footpeg was loose while i was waiting for the guy to ship my bolt so i just put a small bolt through the footpeg and frame, it worked fine
