Hello,
My name is Steven and I recently bought a vinson 4x4 semiautomatic2007.
I've had it since September 11 2007 and until yesterday I had only 36 miles on it which mostly were put on by doing some riding on a small 10 acres farm.

Yesterday I went with a group of riders to wagon wheel WV and I had a BLAST...
I have a total of 96 miles on my machine and would like to know what would be the best time to change it's oil and oil filter while the machine is still in "breaking in stage"

The dealer emphasized 100 miles and that I should bring it there.
Now,I just wanted the input from experienced riders and knowledgeable people in this matter .. .. ..

I do all my vehicles maintenance and don't see why I should take it to a dealer.
Is there something special they would do that I can't.

I would greatly appreciate any advice.

i took mine back at 200kms (2 days after I got it lol) i was in the garage and saw for myself they did't check the valves bolts/nuts or anything just changed the filter and oil and front/rear diff oil. I have been changing it ever since over 6500km on it now.

 

I changed my oil and both diffs at 100 miles. I now only change my oil and diffs once a year but I use only Amsoil in it. I have 2000 miles on my bike and no problems, I have had the valves adjusted once and new tires but that is about it.
