ok so my 230 is pretty beat up. all the components look new tho only problem is my stator cover, engine gaurd, drive chain, and right front rim all destroyed. Stator cover cracked and blew right off the side my atv giving me second degree burns along with a mess engime gaurd along with it, chain blew on the trail a second or two after staor cover, and front rim just over time. so needeless to say i had to push my atv 9 miles back to my house with injures. love the atv runs amazingly strong. any ideas what i can do to prevent this problem again let alone find the parts. also if you have any suggestions to get more power feel free to tell me. It is long and will take you a long time, however you will find answers to almost every question you will have and come up with more than you thought.

It sounds like you might need to check some bearings. If some are loose they will cause problems. I am unsure why your stator cover would come apart first? a lot of times the chain comes off and bust the left side cover do to bad swing arm bearings.
