Default 04 eiger needs more power and new clutch

i have a 04 eiger 400 with a 5 speed that i just burned the clutch out due to bigger tires that i put on. i got 26" swamplites 10" in the front and 12" in the back. i love the tire but hate the amount of power i lost, i want to know if there is any way of getting the power back without changing the tires to a smaller size. i have looked at getting a pipe and a stage 1 power kit. this there a kit that redoes the clutch so that it would engauge at a higher rpm?

there are clutch kits avalibal for lots of mechines. but thew mostly are just stiffer springs and weights, you will still have to replace a clutch. stock tires on the eiger where only 25" right? you must have gotten really heavy rims/tires for them to wear the clutch like that!

i would deffinately get a jet kit, filter, and pipe! if you do that it will give you back the lost power. but the clutch kit is going to do the most for you, that would be #1 for me. i recomend dynojet kits, UNI filters, and HMF utility pipes! easy to install.

nice place to find what you need for your mechine. if you need/want to replace the clutch yourself go the bikebandit.com and search OEM parts.

i was told that because my atv is a manaul you cant buy a clutch kit for bigger tires, you can only buy a sold clutch for it. yes the stock tire were 25" with 8" in the front and 10" in the back. the clutch got worn out because my friend got his quad stuck in a mud hole, so we hooked the quads together and he hopped on mine and i went on his to winch out. but he was a dumbass and put my quad in revese and gave it gas and because of the bigger tire/not enoght power the tires didnt move. so he burned the clutch out. so $650 later and 2 weeks im still waiting on parts and trying to figure out a way to get some power back.

Of what I have done to mine, the jet and clutch kit made the most difference. Even if you rejet without changing the pipe you should notice a decent gain since they are pretty lean in stock form. Even without a clutch kit, I would probably updgrade the friction plates to get a little more grip without slippage.

limpinglizard do you have a manaul or auto, because if you do have a manaul where did you find a aftermarket clutch kit for it. i would like to find a clutch kit that would engauge at a higher rpm for my bigger tires. i can only find clutch kit for autos. i was told by the dealership that there are no aftermarket clutch kit for mauanls, only autos.

Mines an auto but you may want to contact EPI and see if they have any options. I saw this guys signature on another site doing a quick google search so they may have one and it also notes he has a manual.

28/9.50/12 Laws all the way around
Epi clutch kit
Dyno jet kit
Carb spring cut
K&N filter
Highlifter 2" lift
HMF Utility exhaust
Snorkel
