Default New Suzuki 1986 LT 250 Owner!

Hello!

This is my first post on the forums and I just bought a used Suzuki 1986 LT 250 and I'm very excited!

I've always loved this little 4 wheeler. My wife's granddaddy had one new and it was the 1st one I rode. I like the small size and think it will be just the thing for my and my son to ride when we go hunting, camping or just out for a good fun afternoon.

The one I bought does have some repairs to be made. According to the seller it needs a new batter, pull starter, carb cleaned and stuff. My 1st question is, does anyone know where I can find a service manual on the internet to download or can someone email me one?

Looking forward to the addiction!

I would suggest a Clymer manual too, that is what I use for my LT 125 you can get them on eBay also because they are cheaper or do a google book search and you can even read parts of it online for free.

The Google Book version is incomplete. I'm bummed that someone doesn't have a manual in PDF. But, in the meantime I thought I'd get started with basic tune-up stuff. This should get me started in my first experience owning a atv/motorcycle. I thought I'd change the oil, oil filter, air filter (actually it doesn't have one), rear gear oil, spark plug, it needs a battery too. Since I don't have a reference do you guys know what the best plug, filter, etc is and where to get it?

Just go to a Suzuki dealer that is where I had to find my parts and bikebandit also has diagrams so you can see what you are getting. Also try eBay I saw a guy that sells manuals on cd for 7.99 in PDF format he might have one for you
