Hello all. I'm new to this site and was hoping someone could help me out. I have a 2003 suzuki LT160. Problem is it starts right up but when you let off of the starter biutton it quits. As long as you hold the button in it will keep running. I have tried changing the starter the starter button and the ignition switch nothing helps. anyone have any ideas?

 

when is the last time the valves and cam chain were checked

 

it does sound like low compression

 

Checked compression and timing today both are fine. Like I said when it runs it runs great you just have to hold the starter button in to keep it running.

 

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I’m having the same problem with exact year make model quad…
