Default 1995 King Quad Fuse Replacement

I inadvertently reversed the battery leads when installing a new battery. I called the Suzuki mechanic and he said I likely blew the main fuse or the power fuse. I checked the schematic on a couple of sites but it doesn't show exactly where the fuses are. To me it looks like you have to remove the front cowling to get at them. Has anyone here ever replaced the fuses and if so how is the best way to do it? Thanks

IIRC, the fuses are near the battery - underneath the black plastic cover that goes around the headlights.

The fuses aren't in the compartment itself. It looks like they may be near it but from what I understand from a dealer I talked to, the front plastic fenders have to come off to get at them. Any idea how much of a job this is?

Jaybee--After you said the fuses were in the battery compartment, I went back and looked again. You were right! They are on a bracket tucked in between the headlights! Thank goodness I looked again cuz I have no idea how to take that front cowling off. It was a blown main fuse and there was a spare in the fuse compartment so I'm good to go again. Maybe now I can get some ice fishing in. Thanx much!
