Spendy Part
#1
I have a 2006 Suzuki KingQuad 700. After riding in the mountains through deep snow, I noticed that my temp light would come on, then go off. I could hear the fan motor working so I parked the bike and let it cool down. The problem is that snow had gotten packed around the fan, not allowing it to spin. The motor works just fine, but the center of the fan is spun out and now just flops around. I called to see if I could just get a new fan, and they want $204 for the enitire assembly, stating they do not just sell fans. Does anyone know of a place where I might pick up just the fan?

Check an automotive supply place, or mail order catalog, like Jeggs, or Summit, I am sure they would have one of comparable size and it might even move more air? I believe they sell some that are smaller for transmission coolers.

hey check out surpluscenter.com
they have tons of industrial surplus stuff, and usually they have a few 12vdc fans in stock from time to time of various sizes and specs.
but the spun-out center isn't jb-weldable?
reguardless, that must have been one serious motor to rip the centerpiece free.

I had let the bike sit overnight, and the snow drifted inside and packed in there good. I made the mistake of trying to clear it out while it was running, hence the fan was spinning, and then snow packed back around it causing it to stop suddenly. I never though of JB Weld, but I would rather just try to find another fan. Do I just get the specs off the old fan, like the number etc, and then start searching?

yeah you could try that.
but what it really comes down to, if youre on a low budget anyways, is 12vdc and the approximate diameter. brackets are cheep and easy to make. and oh, MAKE SURE whatever you get is water/dust proof.
