250 quad runner LT-4WD fuel sytem help

Default 250 quad runner LT-4WD fuel sytem help

Well i have spark but it appears fuel is not getting to the carb. is there a fuel pump or filter? several time in the past month or so i t would be running fine then bog down then come out of it ,well the last time it bogged down ,stalled and cant get it to fire up again..hope this kinda explains what is going on???? Thanks any ideas would help i live far from a dealer so thanks for anything i should try

i worked on one of these a while back and it was a 96 and it had a fuel pump

is the fuel pump the round diaphram looking plate on top of the carb?....BTW it fired up today and i got it outta the yard and in the garage thanks please reply ...Chris

Default 250 quad runner LT-4WD fuel sytem help

Your fuel valve also has a prime location (PRI). Usually used to get fuel to the carb if it hasn't been run in a while but may also help clear out any minor fuel line obstruction. Just don't keep it in prime all the time.

Thanks Jaybee i did use the pri ..........but when i rolled it and it started i looked and it was on normal tank usage.....The dilema ,i am sure is not fixed being an intermitant problem..Chris

im pretty sure there's an in-tank filter, probably much like a sock over the pickup tubes, maybe pop off the petcock and see whats going on in there. but make sure you get most of the gas out or youre gonna have quite the mess.

i did pull the 5 screws off the pet **** diaphram assembly and find hard to believe there is no off position for the fuel ,LOL i did put a pan under this before i opened it cost a half gallon of gas owe and btw there is no filter in the petcock assem. just springs,gskets and diaphrams

maybe the diaphram is going to hell is it hard or soft

I am writing you in hopes of finding out what might be wrong with our 4/4 which is acting just as you have said yours is. Has a new fuel pump on it but still not getting fuel to the carb. If you would let me know what was wrong with yours I sure would appreciate it a lot. Then maby we could do the same on ours. Thank you for your time.

I did get it running again.fingers crossed
,,,,neigbors think that since the temp changes produced condensation 20* to 90* in one day
