2001 quadrunner 500 pops out of 4wd

4wd works fine if i hold lever but pops out if i let it go since i cant find a repair manual any ideas?

ok guess the way it looks this forum doesnt deal with the 500's that much any idea of another site better to deal with 1?

Is there an adjustment on the cable or linkage. Just wondering if it is going completely into 4X4?

Thanks for the feedback but figured it out the rubber boot at the dif was dry rotted and the cable wasn't fully engaging put a temp fix till the cable comes in.
