250r Rebuild
#1
hey guys new to the Atv world but have ridden for a few years. I just bought a suzuki 250r LT with the kick start. The only problem is, is that it wont start, and it feels like it has no compression.
Has anyone had experience putting a top end rebuild on one of these bike? Is it hard to do? And is ther any torque specs i should know?

i would check your compression with a tester first just to be sure where your at. if its over 100 lbs it should run, thats lower than i would run mine but it should run.
if you catch it in time hopefully all you will need is gaskets and a set of rings. but if there is grooves in the piston you will need a new one and probably a bore. it will at least need a hone.
my advice would be to check the compression and start from there. if its low take it apart and inspect the piston, rings, head and the up and down play in the crank and crank rod.
