z400 is the only 400cc sport machine Suzuki makes...and it is the best 400cc out there........ What kind of racing are you doing? Would a 450cc not be better?

Z400 and Lt-R450 are Suzuki's sport 400s. LT-R is almost purely racing/MX style bike. Z-400 is more of an all-arounder. Z-400 has reverse too. Doug Gust used to win races aboard the Z-400 all the time before the LT-R450.

No the z400 is a sport quad.....not a utility......

Are you looking for a sport or a utility machine to race?

kyle, the z400 is meant to be a faster trail quad. Its a sporty quad but its not meant for the track. It can go on the track but thats not what its good for. It has fairly good ground clearence and stuff like reverse for trails. If your are racing like track only and not much trail then you will want the ltr 450 its one of the best race bikes for the price. Remember though if your a beginner even people on smaller sized atvs will be able to beat you due to experience. But yeah it depends what type of riding ur gonna do. The z400 is more of an all around quad evenly good at everything so i guess make ur choice!

i think that since there are not really "difficult" trails around here, i can get the Lt-R450 and take it to the track and the trails
