Default 450 King Quad Issue

I have a 07' 450 King Quad that is having an issue with either the drive or clutch system. When ever I apply brake and come to a full stop something locks up and does not allow the ATV to move again unless you throttle up. Once you throttle it up, the ATV will make a squeal and then accelerate forward. Ive taken it to one dealer and he is not sure what the cause is. Has anyone had similar issues with this machine and what can I do to correct the problem?

Default Not much help

I have a 08 450.I have had issues since it was new in Nov with belt sounds. If I do a lotta steep riding in low range, and stop&put in hi.it will kinda hesitate&belt will slip&chirp&everything is fine.I can climb any hill&not usually any more slipping sound till I repeat above.Had it back to dealer&he said it was normal"auto belt adjustment".I can`t see that happening that often on a machine with 200 miles. No one else on this forum last fall noticed any issues as mine.
Sounds like your gonna have to go back to stealer for some $70 per hour help.I don`t suppose you`ve been thru any deep water?did you buy it new?I would be temped to remove belt cover&look for anything that stands out.I have the 24 month warranty, but dosen`t cover belts, and I hear it`s $250.
PS go to another dealer, that has a tech that knows these things.
good luck,Dizz
