Default best oil.?!

what does everyone think is the best atv oil. Petroleum based, or synthetic. Im wondering this because i used to run a semi synthetic (golden spectro) brand oil in one of my atvs, the small air cooled suzuki ozark engine. I switched over to amsoil after reading that it was the best oil ever and all that, and it just seems like the amsoil is to thin or something, it seems like it made it run a lot hotter and gave the engine more vibration, but maybe its all in my head...let me no what your opinion on oil is.

i personally am all amsoil, and have had no problems or complaints with it whatsoever.

however, running plain ol conventional (pennzoil or NOTHING imo) and just changing your oil and filter alot is probably just as good.

I got some "golden crapo" at a race. it worked well keeping the dust down in the driveway.
I prefer Mobile1 but Amsoil is a good product.

Goggle "Conventional oil vs Full Synthetic oil" and besides price, try to find a advantage dinosaur oil has over "FULL" synthetic oil.

Don't buy Blends/semi there a rip off 20% synthetic mixed with 80% conventional at most. Buy full or just stick with conventional.

I have had more than one dealer tell me that i shouldn't run synthetic in a quad because it can cause the clutch's to slip and wear out prematurely.my 98 500 has over 25000KM on conventional oils just change it regularly.

Your dealer is on crack, do they thing people with 150 hp @ 10,000 rpm street bikes run cheap conventional oils in them?

Motorcycle grade synthetic oils are all made for wet clutches.

Redline for the quads Valvoline for (H)!

Hello! I found this post and give it a read, good information!!!http://forums.atvconnection.com/hond...-my-400ex.html

Like Reconranger says in the thread, Maxima oils looks like a great synthetic to use. If you go to www.maximausa.com they have more explination on their products. I am going to use this in my next oil change
