I am new to the 'Zuki board... Unfortunately I am here because I am prepping my brother-in-laws 2007 KQ-700 to be sold as he can't ride it any more because his knees are shot...

Anyhow.. the cheesy plastic body clips / rubber nut things missing. They seem like they would continue to pop out? Is that true? I know on my Yamaha they use a small pan head screw and a ny-lok nut.

Those clips aren't cheap! $2.00 each online.. and problably much more at the Stealership!

My thoughts are just to replace them with a #10 machine screw some washers and a ny-lok nut.

Anyone had problems with these?

I have found them at NAPA. Much cheaper. NAPA also sells the pliers for removing the plastic rivets.

Thanks! Napa does have the tool.. but there is no way I am spending $30 for that!

 

I buy the push pins (look like Honda pins) at Lowes. 7/16". Sorry can't help with the price. You're right about the Suzuki ones though. Junk things constantly pop.
