Default Low cost power upgrades for KQ 450?

Just wondering what people have done to boost their power output on the 2008 King 450. I don't want to go too expensive... mostly because once I get up towards $1k or so... I'll kick myself for not just saving that money and getting the 750.

After some research, I think I might try the VDI Copperhead... and a performance air filter (K&N or Twin Air). I would like to see some real results though...
