Hello, I recently purchased a new 500KQ and I just got 100miles on it so its ready for the first service. I wanted to do this my self, I am plently mechanically inclined but just don't know what all I need to do for this first service. Can someone tell me what all I should do for this first service? Thanks

 

Engine oil and filter, front and rear diff fluids, and check your air filter... not much else needed since there aren't any grease fittings. I decided to take it to the dealer thinking they might do something special... $200 later I felt violated. I'm assuming the 500 has the Power steering, so you may want to find out if you need to change any fluid for that as well. Good luck!

 

you will want to take it to the dealer as they check and adjust the valve clearence for you.

 

Does anyone know the valve adjustment specs on the KQ 500?
