Turf Tamer Tires
#1
Alright, so I run ITP Holeshot GNCC's on my 86 LT250R all around, and theyre AMAZING. However, I've managed to basically kill the rears within 10 rides/races. $90 each plus shipping ain't cool in my book, especially at the rate I'm going. So, I got to thinking; I see ALOT of LT250R's with Carlisle Turf Tamer tires on them. I always figured that they were just some cheapo hop-up tire for your lawn tractor. But I think theres more to them than that. I've seen more LT250R's with those on them than any other tire. I'm sure they're much cheaper than the GNCC's, and probably lighter, too.
They don't look like a very competitive tire, but there's just gotta be something else to them. Has anyone run these tires before? How was your expirience with them?
Thanks, Austin

the GNCCS are really nice but they just dont last long at all, turf tamers are some bad *** tires light weight, cheap, good traction, some people cut the knobbies on them a certain way to get a better bite, i know a few people who use some 18in tamers to race blasters,LT250s they have been around for a good while and still many people still use em,great tires imo.
