they started using the seats where the back end was real wide in 90, thats a regular narrow seat, unless it has older plastics on it maybe.

yeah and the swinger uses a round carrier with pinch clamps, and the front shocks look relativaley short. sounds like an 85-86 lt250r to me.

nice find!

Default quad

The front shocks measure about 12 inches, bolt to bolt with the big motor on board. Any suggestions for shocks, keeping it cheap? Can I put front shocks off of a larger cc Suzuki from the same vintage on it or should I go after market?

Thanks again, I am convinced it is a 250 (Well, 750/250 that is!). Troy

im not sure what other factory shocks will swap on those but im sure you could find some decent Works shocks on e-bay both new and used for a decent price.

I'm with LT230sman. It has the round carrier from the 85-86 lt.

Default 250r

Here are some updated pics. I have been working away on it since I bought it. The 69 Superbee stickers were a must.Troy

mopar? :\

well... 69... eh i suppose...

anyways, thats definatley an 85-86. only they used short 12.38" front shocks. after that, they used 15" units, 87-92. and the difference isnt just in the arms, the upper mounts on the frame are different. as far as upgrades go, talk to works. they will get u set up right for a fair price.

Default ZX 750 Quad

I am probably going to take it out to sand mountain soon for some testing. The temps out there have been smokin hot lately. I will post up some feedback once I run it and give my thoughts.

I have discovered, with your help, that it is probably an 85-86 LT 250R. I also believe the motor is a 1990 ZX 750. Thanks for all of your help. Troy
