Default King Quad 450 for snow plowing? And other questions...

Would a King Quad 450 work for snow plowing? I have a gravel driveway that's 125 feet long AND it's literally at a 45 degree angle. I hear minimum 500cc, so not sure if 450 would be fine?

I'm looking at these
2007 King Quad 450, 350 miles, Warn 2500# winch, new battery $4900
2006 King Quad 700, 1000 miles, Warn winch, new battery $4900

I'm leaning the 450 as I think it'd be easier for my wife to handle.

Anything I should look for? Or ask specifically? I hear there was an ignition issue on these? Are the prices fair? These are both private parties.

I should add: I am buying this for just plowing (80%) and a little work around our property. It won't be used for trail riding and such.

Minimum 500cc? I dono who said that, but a 450cc kingquad in low range will plow way more then say a 700cc atv that only has high range. Also the kingquad 450 has a diff lock with also helps to plow more then the large cc machines like hondas that dont have a diff lock. But regardless of the low range and diff lock even a 300cc as long as it has 4wd even without a diff lock will plow A LOT of snow. They dont reccomend 52 inch plows for smaller machines those are more for like a rhino so as long as you have a 48inch plow or maybe a 50 inch it will be the right size for the machine.

Forgot to say id go with the 700 for that added bit of power . It wont make much difference for plowing but its good for if u really need to get up to speed. Don't worry about your wife trying to handle it the only real time youd ever notice the difference between the 450 and 750 is at high speeds and with the accelleration.

I agree with Kingquad. The 450 with low range and locking front diff. will be more than enough for plowing snow. All bets are off if you get 3' at a time though.

450 king will do the job i suggest adding some weight while plowing such as sand bags on front and rear rack for extra traction. I know several people with eiger 400 (376cc) who push lots of snow every winter. I remember back in the 90's when the yamaha big bear 350 was a "big" quad everybody around here who had one plowed snow with them.
If you have the cash you can buy a 48" blower attachment for the quad I know a guy with one saw it in action very impressive 2 passes and the driveway is done.

i know a guy that plows with an early 90's model quad runner 250. obviously it has diff lock and super low range, but the grunt is what you need. a 450 will be plenty of power...
