Default LT80 Starting Trouble

I have a 2004 Lt80 that a neighbor of mine has and i am working on it for him. He doesnt do hardly any maintance on it and rides it hard, puts it up wet. I started by just changing a few broken plastic parts and cleaning the carburator. I got it running after figuring the fuel petcock wasnt flowing fuel. i had gas running down the fuel line into the carburator adn it started and ran. while waiting on a petcock it sat for 2 weeks without running. now i cnat get it to start. it has fuel to the carb. the carb is clean. a new plug and it has spark. it has ol to the oil injection pump, but doesnt blow any out when u crank on it? i dont know anything about 2 strokes or if this is common or anything. it turns over fine too. even with starting fluid it wont start, just turns over and over. anyone have any clue? thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

I also have this 2004 Lt80 but somehow have not experienced the same problem. Wondering what's the solution with this so that I will know what to do if this happens.

hmmm... you got good compression? and the injection pump should be pumping while the engine turns over, so you may wanna check that out.

If you take the plug out and put a little gas in it (prime it)... if it has spark it will fire up... then it should pull gas through the carb and work fine. if not take the carb off and see if the jets are clogged.

Unless you spin the injector fast, I doubt you'll see any oil flow. I don't trust the injector stuff.
Ya, you may want to know the compression since it's rode hard and 5 years old.
Try putting 2 fingers in front of the carb to hand choke it. That works sometimes.
Let's go from there.
