Can't get it started.
#1
Have a newer King Quad AV400. My son was talking to some friends for 45 min, while he was sitting on it on a steap up hill while it was off. It had and has been running fine until he tried to start it again, and it wouldn't. Can't get it started at all now. I checked for spark which is fine. It is obviously flooded as I can smell fuel in the exhaust when cranking. It has spent the night now and still won't start. How do you clear the carborator? Haven't worked on these things before.

Well, after fussing about trying to find the problem, I finaly took it in to where I bought it. The guys there said that it is rare they can't find the cause within 5 to 10 min. This took a full half hour with all three techs. It had spark, it had fuel, but no start. Finaly one of them noticed that it looked like the boot between the carb and engine looked like it was pulled back a bit. Checking, he found that it had come completly off and was just butted up to the engine fitting, allowing no seal at all. Just a little note for others to look for if the same happens to them.
