so i pulled my carb apart it was pretty nasty inside there i cleaned the jets the jet next to the main was clogged. put everything back together and it runs jus now my idling is real high and it backfires a lil bit. my idle screw doesnt really seem to make a difference....should i adjust something different??

 

i suspect your going to have to take the carb back off and reclean it. use some fishing line to stick into the jet passageways, its about the best way i know of to be sure there clear

 

i got it now! apparently when i hooked the throttle back up to the carb i positioned it different bc i loosened up the cable up on the throttle housing and now its fine
