Default Refilling Battery with acid???

I picked up another quad yesterday, a 86 bayou 300. The thing would not start, and the battery was dead. But, the guy only wanted 400 and it had brand new itp mudlite tires on it, which i wanted to try to use on my ltz400 (stupid me but theres gotta be a way), so I offered him 300$ and he let me take it, came with a plow too!
Last night I took apart the carb and cleaned it, empty the gas put new gas in, put my tractor battery in and it starts right up and runs, no stalls.

Anyways, there is a nappa battery in it that is dead charging it does nothing. He gave me a bottle of battery acid. How do I do this? I took the capps of the top of the batt and can't see any liquid in the cells, but is it there? Do I have to remove the old acid first? or is it gone do you think? How would I remove it?

Usually when thres a low cell on a battery, you can just top it off with distilled water. If he gave you a bottle of electrolytes though, you can use that in its place. Notice when you look into the cells, there is a lip that extends down from the cap, and then stops and it opens up to a larger chamber? Just fill the cell up to the bottom of that lip. You do not want to fill it to the top, as it needs room to expand and vent gas. After filling leave the caps off, or at least cracked while you charge so the battery can vent.
