hello everyone,this is 4wheeler dude from pennsylvania i was told by a member that i should post my suzuki ouestion here.... so here goes i have a lt 230s suzuki i bought a lower end off of ebay it turns out that it is not a 230 lower end but a lt250s lower end 89-90...this lower end seams to be in good condition.i was wanting to know if i bought a 250 piston, would i be able to bore my 230 jug and use the top end off my 230? the whole top end would be 230.. lower end 250.. i think they are the same stroke im not sure .....if anyone can help me i would really appreiciate it

well i know the 250s wrist pin is 1mm bigger, so you would want the 250s piston. bore is atleast 4mm bigger (or more, im just guessing since a +2mm bore makes 243cc out of a stock 230 jug). that may be too far for a 230 jug. if it is, a 250s jug will bolt on. now, if youre this far into it, you might as well get the 250s topend if you can find it on ebay. the head flows much better and has bigger valves, and the cam is supposedly a much better profile that the stock 230 cam.

with a good 30mm carb and a nice free flowing exhaust, that setup will WASTE much bigger bikes. you would be amazed!

if ur gonna buy the head from a 250s you may as well buy a 250s jug too. if you can find them that is. it would probably be a lot cheaper to buy the cylinder than have it bored
