Default Vinson- NO ELECTRICAL POWER ANYWHERE???

HEY ALL,
started my 06' Vinson up and drove it on my trailer to a friends house. went to start it up to back it off and heard a buzz near the battery. noticed a small spark when i hit the start button. turned the key off and back on and hit it again and lost ALL power. no lights, no gauges, nothing!!! please help, i am riding in the morning.
the only fuses i can find is the 30A near the battery and the small cluster of 10-15A near the battery. all the fuses are good???? battery has plenty of power, what now??
is there another fuse somewhere i am missing??

I would bet that you have a little bit of corrosion on your batt. post. Same thing happened to my Suzuki Intruder bike once. I almost never found the problem.

there is no corrosion on the battery. i am pretty mechanically inclined but this one has me stumped. i found this out... when i turn the ignition on, i have no power to anything BUT the battery loses its voltage. the minute i turned the key off, the power comes back to the battery. checking all this with a voltage meter by the way.
are there any other fuses anywhere??

How do you know that your battery has plenty of power? A bad battery will often put out 12 volts as long as it's not under load.

If the bat looses all voltage it is bad. A bat. with a load shouldn't drop below 9-10 volts. If you had a dead short and a good bat. something would smoke and melt. Try jumping the quad.
