suzuki eiger stuck in 4wd

suzuki eiger stuck in 4wd
i have a 05 eiger and its stuck in 4 wd tighten the cable but its still wont come out, i had it in 2wd for a second and when i move the front wheels it made a grind nose, does the cable still need to be tighter becuz its not poping all the way into 2wd??
