It's my understanding there is a great sandy riding area at Silver Lake, MI

I wouldn't mind trying it out someday.
I need to get to St. Anthony first.
Meanwhile, it's 70ish and there is an abundance of Sand @ home.

We mostly bang the ditch's and hill climb around here or head to northern Wisconsin. I bought a polaris 850 xp about a year ago. Nice ride but nothing like a 2 stroke zilla. Now i just have to wait for the snow to melt before i can get it out.
And theres talk about closing the ditch's to atvs.
nuthin like a zilla glad others are keeping it alive

dunedraging do you like running those paddles? I know those trackers can be pretty stiff. I run skat trak ultra buffs with 9 paddles and my son runs skat trak 7 paddles on his Z400 we used ITP sand stars before but skat traks hook up so much better

Nice rides Dunedragin. I sold a set of 86 250's a few years ago to a buddy. There still sitting in his garage collecting dust. I guess thats what kids will do to you. No time or money.
I can't wait until he's ready to blow the dust off them. I've heard of the dunes in silver lake, never been there. Were trying to plan a trip to Utah this summer. Have you ever delt with Tudors? I've been thinking about sending my other motor off to them for some bottom end upgrades. Not many places out there to find parts any more.

did i mention I'm a fanatic?

I don't think I have 30 min seat time on either the wide or extended Racer.
I have not really had enough time to decide if I LOVE the set up.
Seems like the tires will be nice. Each quad is so different.
We were more concerned with finding the right tires for one of the Zilla's
last time out. It was the first run with it. (don't think we reached a decision, but we do know what we thought would work didn't perform as well as we wanted)
I go to the Dragin by default. It fits like a glove. It has me spoiled.
We are thinking of putting a couple of TRX250R Hondas out on the sand
for their debut next time out--HLG's (My Hairy Legged Guy) favorite trail quad. I'll get the opportunity with the test and tune rides to see what I do or don't like about the tires, sprockets, axles and swing arms on the wide and extended Racers. I may decide I like one better for straight shot racing and another better for trails or climbing. (Still learning too)
I'll have to get back to you on that.

BPM-HLG is my head mechanic.
He was wanting to Mod my Dragin (some more)...No, keep your wrenches off it...it's perfect. He persisted...NO, it's perfect, I like it just the way it is.
He dropped the kick lever off the Zilla, we traded out and he took the Dragin back to the trailer (tools) and when he got back he didn't want to get off.
He ripped it up and down the track, shredded a few hills. He said " Now that is fun! It is dialed in and your right, it's fine the way it is. You have a point...it could use one more gear on the top; I kept reaching for it too, but it's sweet to beat everything off the line...it's a climbing fool."
It's worked in my favor....he's been collecting more LT250's!
