I am 14, 5'7'', 135lbs and have been riding my 250X for the past few years. I am looking for a strong, powerful, reliable sport atv. I have been trying to decide to get one for a while now. I just blew all my money on my X for new bearings and piston rings and plan on sellin mine for $2300 and the Quadracer i want is $2200. Do I need lots of money for repair? I am doing woods, track and wide open huge jumps. Does this sound like a good descicion? What should I look for when I see it? THAX GUYS!!

just make sure that the 'racer is in great shape to begin with and you should be just fine. it sounds like you are already intimate with the interworkings of a 4-stroke, having done a top end on one. so maintaining a 2-stroke should not be that tough... don't forget mixing your gas.

go for it & have fun

YES!! I bought a 92 quadracer 250 last summer, its faster than all my friends 400EX's, the LT doesn't handle quite as well but it cost half as much. Try and find a 88 or newer and Greese the bearings!

If it is not in great shape then buy a blaster. They are cheap reliable machines, and it is easy to make them fast, faster than a 250. The only problem with them is the brakes, but if u take them apart and clean them once in a while they will work fine.

1995 yamaha blaster, paul turner pipe and silencer, K&N filter, rear holeshots, graydon full skidplate, oil injection block off kit.

A Blaster could never beat a lt250, NEVER! I used to have a 230 quadsport that wasn't much slower than a Blaster. An air cooled, oil injected, drum braked, econobox like the Blaster would not be able to keep up with a 300EX, and I can walk rite past 400EX's, trust me all my friends have 400EX's and its Funny. I am a Intermediate rider, most of my friends are a little better than me, and on an MX course I can stay with thier 400EX's,
so for the money you can't beat a 88-92 Quadracer
