if you dont mind a LOUD pipe, the DG is cheap, well made, and makes the most power out of all the 230 pipes.

ive seen a few bikes with them and the build quality certainly isn't up to par with the DG, but they are a little quieter. unfortunately, they sound really tinny and raspy. up to you though, im sure it still makes more power than stock.

The rest of us DO mind, thank you...unless you are on a racetrack or have your own private huge acreage to ride...so do a favor for all of us 1) fellow riders who want to have riding places kept open, 2) neighbors of riding areas, 3) other outdoor enthusiasts enjoying the quiet, 4) law enforcement officials who have to answer noise complaints instead of apprehending real bad guys, 5) the industry and sport of ATVing as a whole...and DON'T buy the "Earbuster 2000" exhaust pipes, regardless of whether DG or Dimsum makes them.
In this day and age of land closures, loud does not mean better performance

EDIT:
In fact, you'd have 1000 times more people at your neck for stuff like this in your picture than you would for noise issues (At least around here). MNDNR LOVES their wetlands.
So joker230s, make sure there's no one in your area who would be affended by a loud pipe, and you'll be good to go.

That's too funny...lol...didn't know that pic was still out there
HOWEVER...and not to panic MNDNR (?)...that submarine test was done in a gravel bottomed stocktank on my family's 430 acre ranch, not public wetlands, and I guarantee the herd of cows we have on the place mess it up a lot worse during one of their group swim/crap sessions than I ever could.
We never had complaints from neighbors about the noise, but then we didn't run loud exhausts either...so I guess the question is whether there were no complaints because no one cared, or there were no complaints because there weren't loud pipes making noise to complain about.
If it seemed I was "lashing out" I apologize, but the noise issue is an issue that is more important to all of us than most of us seem to realize. We have to change our old ways of thinking and be more responsible for ourselves and our public image than ever before, or we will be our own undoing.
I guess the issue about noise is that you never know who is going to be offended by it until after the offending has taken place...then what do you do? Has the neighbor said something right after the first noisy ride, or have they tolerated it until they couldn't stand anymore before they said something? And then, is the rider going to then buy another pipe for a couple of hundred dollars or more, or blow it off and ride anyway until the sheriff or process server shows up?
Why not save us all the hassle to begin with and get something that doesn't have "loud" as a characteristic or in it's description?
