95 suzuki king quad
#1
My quad is running lean with mid and full throttle. The head pipe will start to glow after 5 - 10 minutes of running. But if I let it idle for a few it will cool back down. I just rebuilt the carb with a stock carb kit. Main jet 120. The idle screw is 3 turns out. Main needle is set at 4th groove from top. All jets are new and passages are clean in the carb. I have also adjusted the valves .04 intake, and .06 exaust.
The machine only has 600 miles after complete rebuild. It was bored over .30. The valves were never adjusted right at the shop and I have always had a heck of a time getting it started till now. Now it starts right away in any temp and runs great except for being lean. Should I go with a bigger main jet seeing how the machine has been bored over. Any thoughts, thanks.
