I recently traded a friend for an '87 LT230E I needed to replace the head gasket and the RH Side Clutch Cover Gasket. Currently I've been trying to figure out the mess he and his brother-in-law made of the wiring harness. I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the Clymer manual or at least the picture of the wiring harness. I've searched everywhere and I keep finding LT230S manual pics but not LT230E pics....

If someone could help me out it would me much appreciated. TIA for any help.

unfortunately, there isnt a readily available (i.e. on the internet) wiring diagram for the 230e, only the 230s. however, many of the things concerning the ignition system are the same, so this may help you out:

yea like i had said I've looked everywhere and only found the 230S diagrams... I've been to the 230 Vault a few times now and the diagram he has is the same one you find on bikebandit.com... oh well there was a kid who was going to scan the pic of the diagram in his clymer manual on monday.. i hope he does bc i'm lost until i can see the actual 230e diagram... and i don't want to buy the whole manual for one pic

 

230rider posted up the wiring diagrams but the scans are too blurry to make out the wiring colors... i'm still stumped on this one.

 

 

I've already seen the one on bikebandit.com... thats not what I'm looking for. or uh was loooking for. 230rider scanned one of the harness schematics in his manual but they were too fuzzy to read so I used the ones he scanned and made a colored one. Its not perfect but here it is:
