Yes. I need the original rear caliper. Not sure why they changed it to the one that is on there now, but when you put the pads on this one, the pads that are meant for the original 230S caliper, the pad on the piston side falls out. I suppose it would work fine if it had the right pads for this caliper, but no idea what this caliper came from.

Bike is a 1985 LT230S, so I guess it's really really old...

Another question, about the ball joints, the lower ball joints on this bike seem to have a bolt that goes through the backside of the A-Arm and into the ball joint to hold it... at least that's what it looks like, I haven't tried to take it apart to be sure... I seen ball joints on Ebay for the LT 230S but they had snap rings with them and didn't appear to have a bolt hole in them so now I am confused if these are the original A-Arms or not...

Oh and those are the original a-arms. both of the ball joints should bolt on. 3 bolts for the top ball joint and 1 really big bolt on the bottom one. and it is a pain to get out. the bottom bolt is almost always siezed, so keep a cheater bar with ya when you go to remove the lower ball joint.

Here they are:
Suzuki LT230S Quad Sport Upper Ball Joint 85-88 LT230 : eBay Motors (item 370334857256 end time Mar-14-10 17:51:05 PDT)
Suzuki LT230S Lower Ball Joint 85-88 LT230 Quad Sport : eBay Motors (item 350118581672 end time Mar-24-10 20:10:37 PDT)

Both of these will work and they last forever. at least for me they do. I ride every day for hours. tons of useage on my 230s.

Thanks for the deal on the brake parts.

Hopefully I can work on the bike some soon, like next couple days or next week. Will take some new pics and post them here.

im pretty sure if a ball joint cut loose on you with that bike it would probably be a widow maker , how much power does that engine make any way and how much modification is needed to make it fit , i love my quad but its for sure underpowered, those motors seem to be a bit cheaper than a gsxr600, and that was my plan for a while any info would be great
