any luck on a clearer scan?

 

he was just in from friday till sunday night. I tried another scan but it was just as bad, gonna try a different scanner hopefully later this week. I nned to work on my wiring to because sunday my electrical system died

 

the electrical system on these bikes isn't that complicated but it can be a pain in the ***... what program are you using to scan the pictures? are you just using microsofts built in scanner wizard thing? i think it has settings in the program to get a clearer scan

i'm getting close to getting her fully back together but I'm waiting on some gaskets and I have to make a trip to town to go get some more paint. My camera is crap so I have to wait for my parents to get back from their vacation to use my stepmom's camera. But as soon as they get back I'll get some pics of the latest work.

 

well after using the two scans you made and the wire colors I already knew I edited the 230ewiringdiagram.jpg and made a colored version:



I'm missing two wires I believe on the CDI box (they're there just not in color), but I hope this can help somebody. I think I have my wiring figured out now I just have to wait for the rain to stop and for my gaskets to get in before I can finish the rebuild

 

Glad to see you figured it out. Sorry I never got another scan made but been wicked busy lately. I figured out what was wrong with my wiring the battery cable broke and thats why I had no power. Gonna have to fix it this weekend when I do the rear brakes.

 

just for clarity the wire going from the ignition switch to the CDI box is black with a yellow tracer it looks like black and white, I guess the yellow doesn't show up good.

 

no problem man... we just started get rain down here in southern KY and i was bored so i figured what the heck I'll just figure it out lol

 

hey man I got my head & clutch cover gaskets tonight so tomorrow morning I'll be putting her all back together and going riding with my dad and a few friends for the first time since the rebuild!! I'm really hyper right now and I don't think I'll be sleeping all night lol

 

does anybody have the wiring diagram for the ignition lock cyclinder i need to no where each wire goes and what it does
