I know there is a aftermarket A-arm set for the front to rake it out a little for larger tires, but what size will fit safely with the stock A-arms???
Well, based on your first post, for what you are going to use the quad for, I would stick with stock size tires... especially if you are going to use it for plowing.

Increasing the tire size will increase the gear ratio (and add more unnecessary weight), causing you to lose low end grunt for plowing, pulling, work around the ranch, and general trail riding.

Get some good radials in the stock size, or no more than one size up... they will fit on you stock rims and clear the A-arms without any problems. As a matter of fact, a lot of the good radial tires in the stock size will already be taller than the stockers.

Bigger tires have some other negative effects... but they do look "cool".

I agree with the above. Oversized tires look good and help in mud, but they rob you of power. Stick with the stock size and you will be good.

Based on what I am hearing here and in the real world, I am thinking of getting the Maxxis Zilla's in a 27x9x12 up front and 27x11x12 out back on stock rims. To compensate for the larger tires I am also thinking of getting a Power Programmer too. I am a little worried about clearance in the front, but I do know there is a company that makes lower A-arms that have different angle at the spindle and moves the front tire forward about an inch. That should compensate for twitchy front end and rubbing issues. Has anyone ever done this before, and will 27’s fit without an issue? Our trails here are full of mud holes and they vary in thickness throughout the season, this the main reason for my tire choice. Let me know what you guys think, or if you have any suggestions

I would also think of a clutch kit before a programmer. Start with this before adding more power that way you dont destroy belts/transmissions with the larger tires installed!

OK so I found a great Deal on some Maxxis Zilla tires, but they are 28s and I am not sure if they will fit without the addition of a lift. DOes anyone know if I will be able to squeeze thes in without modification????

I have a King 700 and the tires you are looking at. I also went with aluminum wheels to offset any weight gain of the tires. You will need to tie the lower part of your inner fender back due to tire rubbing (just a zip tie) but that's all. I did do the EPI clutch kit to gain back my lower end ooomphh but no power programmer. I'm fine with what I have. If you have a stock filter get rid of it ASAP and get a Uni or Twin Air. The stocks are known to let through dust.
I would do everything BUT the programmer and see how you like it. If it's not enough go with the copperhead VDI instead of the PP. Almost every post on all websites say that is the way to go. Again, I'm fine with mine without it.
Good luck and have fun!!

I have an 05 KQ700 lifted, running 26" Bighorns for trail ridin and 29.5" Outlaws for muddin. I have the Copperhead VDI but no clutch kit. It does great no matter what I do with it from hauling logs to going deep. You should not nat any issues runnin the 27" Zilla's. I run 27"XTRs on my 02 Vinson stock.

Utility: Plowing or Snowblowing, towing around trailers and a dump wagon for yard work, Dragging brush and small logs, and hunting/workin out in the woods

Play: Trail Riding and other adventures.

I will most likely upgrade to better and possibly bigger wheels and tires, so I will need enough power to turn something like that.

I am new to the 4x4 sceene and would like some opinions, but I also dont want to break the bank. WHAT SHOULD I DO???
What size do you need ? THE BIGGEST!
