I have 2 Suzuki quadrunners with popped back shocks. Due to this it has made the rear actually sit higher than usual due to it only being the spring now and it has the angle of the swingarm so out of whack the chain would try to dig into the swingarm so they aren't rideable now. My question is what options short of dropping $500 bucks into a rear shock from works do I have. I've ordered two different shocks off ebay that are from what people said were for a quadrunner but they were for quad sports and the shock bolts are much bigger in diameter than the sports. I could weld up the hole the shock mounts to on the frame and re drill it with a smaller hole and use those shocks which I don't really want to do but might have too. Is there anything from maybe another model or brand that anyone knows will fit Honda 300 ex Suzuki newer models anyone tried anything???? I'd prefer to leave the frame and swingarm as it is and change shock options. I did ponder cutting the parts on the old shock the bolt goes through off and welding them to a good body but I imagine in doing so I would burn the seals out of the good bodied shock. I'll figure it out but looking to see if anyone had experienced any of this and had an easy button on it.
